Music Therapist


Miao Completed Master’s degree of music therapy at the University of Melbourne. She is a Registered Music Therapist (RMT) of the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA). Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT).


She has working experience in special developmental school, mental health hospital and community institution. Conducted group music therapy sessions in kindergarten. Conducted parent and child music therapy sessions. Also delivered music therapy sessions to clients home.

Areas of expertise:

Children with special needs: ASD, developmental delay, intellectual disabilities. Mental health area. Elderly.

Treatment Modalities:

Conducting creative music activities to interact with clients based on humanism theoretical framework. Created a safe and comfortable space for clients to express themselves and achieve their personal goals. The music therapy methods includes singing, music singing, improvisation, instrument playing, song writing, music listening, music relaxation
