Experience:

Erica has been practicing for 10 years and she also has a hypnotherapy background which helps assist with supporting her clients. She has completed Hypnotherapy and Neurolinguistic programming to support her development in the field.

Her experience focuses on all age groups. she doesn’t have a specific intervention to use with clients, as her belief is that what may work for one person may not work for another. so, the range of interventions she uses are Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Psychoeducation.

she has completed numerous amounts of training from Alcohol and other drugs, developmental trauma, Acceptance Commitment Therapy to Safe and together (STACEY Project) which is primarily focused on Family Violence. she was a lead practitioner in the STACEY project for Family violence victims. Her work at Odyssey house Victoria supported clients on Family Reunification Orders, her role was to advocate and support parents to reunify with their children which they had lost custody of due to AOD, Family violence or mental health.

Areas of expertise:

Erica’s specialisations are from substance abuse, mental health such as anxiety, BPD and complex trauma. Family violence is her bread and butter in the field as her extensive experience has helped support clients with change.

Her work as a therapist focuses on clients presenting issues as well as their underlying issues.

Her education and learnings through both client and own experiences have helped her become the successful therapist she is today.
