Speech Pathologist

Qualifications:

Clare is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with a B. App. Sci in Speech Pathology from Lincoln Institute of Health Sciences. Trained in both parent and Early Childhood Educator Hanen programs, Clare is also an International Facilitator for the Hanen Centre.

Experience:

Clare has worked exclusively in the early childhood space for more than 3 decades and has extensive experience in bringing services to children and families where they need them.

She specialised for four years in supporting educators to provide language-rich environments for children in early learning centres, working within the classrooms, modelling strategies and coaching educators supporting inclusion of children with complex presentations.

Clare has worked extensively with families from diverse cultural backgrounds, providing support to families using interpreters. She supports children with a range of communication needs, including Early language, Autism, Developmental Delay and Genetic conditions with complex presentations. Clare has worked in clinical settings, early intervention and community home based services.

Areas of expertise:

Clare is passionate about coaching the key people in a child’s life to support everyday routines, enabling meaningful communication. Facilitating early communication and supporting emotional regulation through language development and parent-child interaction is also her speciality.

Treatment Modalities:

Clare is passionate about bringing services to children to support meaningful communication goals in their learning environments including kinder, early learning and at home. Coaching of key people is also offered through telehealth.
