Speech Pathologist

Qualifications:

Miriam completed a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at LaTrobe University in 2010. She is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Experience:

Miriam has over 10 years of experience working across a variety of settings, including schools, kindergartens, childcare centres, clinics, and telehealth. She has provided assessment and intervention for children aged 18 months to 16 years, supporting language, literacy, speech, and social communication skills in ways that are practical, meaningful, and tailored to each child’s needs.

Areas of expertise:

Miriam has extensive experience supporting children with differences and/or difficulties in: Receptive and Expressive language; Literacy; Speech sound development; Social communication skills.

Treatment Modalities:

Miriam believes communication develops through connection, trust, and shared experiences. Her person-centred, play-based, trauma-informed approach prioritises emotional safety, regulation, and relationships as the foundation for learning.

She values each individual’s strengths and views communication differences as part of human diversity, supporting people to communicate in ways that feel meaningful, authentic, and empowering. She works collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals to create practical, lasting change across everyday settings.
