Sherry is a highly experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist with postgraduate studies in Occupational Therapy completed in India.
Sherry worked in India for more than 8 years before relocating to Melbourne in 2017. Since then, she has gained extensive experience across a range of settings including clinics, homes, childcare centres, kindergartens, and schools.
Her work has focused on supporting children with developmental and neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Down Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay (GDD), learning disabilities, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and dyspraxia. As both a dedicated clinician and a mother of two, Sherry approaches her work with empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping children thrive.
Her areas of expertise include working with neurodivergent children and their families, early childhood development, sensory processing challenges, fine and gross motor skills, handwriting and school readiness, feeding difficulties, and continence support. She is especially passionate about empowering children through personalised, strengths-based approaches.
Sherry is trained in several evidence-based approaches and programs, including Learn to Play (Karen Stagnitti), Therapeutic Listening, DIR 101 (Floortime), handwriting and fine motor skill development programs, sensory processing strategies, the SOS Approach to Feeding (for fussy or picky eaters), and continence support through the Conquering Wees and Poos workshop.
Sherry provides occupational therapy services to children and their families, offering support in both clinical and community-based settings to ensure that intervention is accessible and meaningful across everyday environments.
