Rukshana holds a Master of Science in Applied Behaviour Analysis and a Graduate Diploma (Advanced) in Psychology, both from Monash University. She also completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medical Studies.
Rukshana is a Certified Trauma-Informed Coach and has undertaken extensive professional development in the areas of forensic mental health, dementia care, domestic and family violence, and psychosocial disability.
With over 15 years of experience in the mental health and disability sectors, Rukshana has provided psychological and behaviour support services to children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings, including schools, aged care, and community-based services.
Rukshana has collaborated closely with families, educators, and support teams to develop tailored strategies for managing behaviours of concern, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing quality of life. She has also contributed to capacity building through training, mentoring, and interdisciplinary planning.
Rukshana has particular expertise in working with individuals with psychosocial disability, trauma histories, and neurodevelopmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and intellectual disability. She is passionate about supporting clients experiencing co-occurring mental health and behavioural challenges, with a focus on compassion, dignity, and respect.
