Melissa has a Master of Speech Pathology from the University of Melbourne and is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist. She has also a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), a Master of Science (Ed Admin) and a Diploma in TESOL. She is certified to coach parents in the Hanen SPARKTM communication strategies and trained to deliver Systematic and Synthetic Phonics (SSP) program.
Melissa has experience supporting individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds with a range of
SSP literacy program, Hanen SPARKTMcommunications, AAC (Proloquo2Go, PECS), play-based natural language acquisition in autism program
Paediatric and adult clients in schools, homes, private practice clinic and via telehealth practice.
Melissa is committed to facilitating client/family-centred care services to optimise clients’ strengths and support them to advocate for their communication needs.
She takes pride in her speech pathologist role and continues to upskill herself through training, workshops, and webinars.
